Samuel Luckey was a Methodist circuit rider.

Luckey was born in New England. He was assigned to the Ottawa Circuit in 1811.^[1] In 1812, Luckey was moved to the St. Francis River Circuit, to work alongside J. F. Chamberlain.^[1] Neither of the men were able to cross the battle lines, as America and Britain were at war, and consequently both found alternate assignments in Vermont.^[2]
