New additions to articles should be attributed to reliable and verifiable sources, using inline citations per the Project's Style Guide. The system is very easy to use so please do try to help by following this guideline.
Generally speaking, recipes are strongly discouraged within the Wikipedia, especially when accompanied by detailed preparation instructions. The Wikibooks Bartending Manual is generally a better location for such recipes. See our transwiki help for information on how to properly move recipes.
Exceptions to the preceding statement do exist. If the recipe, proportion of ingredients, or key steps in preparation are important to the history or significance of the drink, and if the significance can be shown clearly, then the information is probably acceptable (though it may still be removed if another editor does not see things the way you do).
If the article concerns an IBA Official Cocktail, then the article's title must match the official name of the drink, unless the title must be disambiguated, in which case (cocktail) is the proper term to add to the title. The official international recipe for such drinks are currently being included since they are an international standard, much like the chemical structure of a molecule uniquely identifies it.
