A Time When I Learned to Like Something
[edit](In the English 102 class that I am currently taking, I am required to write a short paragraph describing a time when I learned to like something as an assignment. Please do not edit this page and thank you for reading this little part of me.)
Whenever I go to an amusement park with my friends or family, I always avoided this particular ride that is often the jewel of amusement parks. This ride is called a roller coaster. I never understand why would people risked their life by potentially being thrown out of the tracks and crash down into millions of people just like in the movies.
A few years later, my friends and I went on our very first road trip in the United States. One of the places we went to was Six Flags Magic Mountain, a theme park filled with the ride that I despised the most. Unfortunately, I was forced by my friends to ride a roller coaster on that day. As the roller coaster went to the top the track and swoop down, my whole perspective about the ride changed completely. The adrenaline. The wind that gushed to the face at 60 miles per hour. The exhilarating scream of joy. Those were all the things that were felt when riding a roller coaster. I really enjoyed myself and began to ride every roller coaster provided in the park.
All in all, I overcame my fear of riding a roller coaster simply by riding one and glad that I finally understood the thrill it provided.
