Nick Martin is the founder and CEO of Altium Limited, a company that develops EDA software used to design electronic products.
Nick Martin attended the University of Tasmania, where he also worked as an electronics designer. It was during this time that Nick recognized the need for more affordable and accessible electronics design solutions. In 1985, Nick founded Altium (then Protel International) and in the same year released his first product, a DOS-based PCB lay-out tool named Protel PCB.
In 1999, Altium was listed on the Australian Stock Exchange and Nick was appointed Chief Excutive Officer. Nick continues to serve as Altium's CEO today.
