[edit]http://www.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/english/halcyon was the source for : Greek alkuōn 'kingfisher' (also halkuōn, by association with hals 'sea' and kuōn 'conceiving'). (in the poem I just wrote, the king and the title came before I ever, ever read, the etymology of the word halcyon. i.e. I wrote the poem before I read the etymology, and I have no knowledge of the etymology till I read the etymology shown in the link)
