Hi Wikipedia Editors, admins, and all other Wikipedia Users. My name is Mark and I live in Anchorage, Alaska. I am currently a college student at the University of Alaska Anchorage (Main Campus in Anchorage Alaska) studying Social Work to earn a Bachelor of Social Work and then later move onto earning my Masters in Social Work. I am currently involved with Alaska Mountain Rescue Group, the Boy Scouts of America, the American Red Cross, and assist with technical theater projects where I primarily work on building set pieces for my university. I am hoping to graduate college by 2015 and currently enrolled as a Sophomore at my college.

My Interests

1. Social networking: The use, expansion, promotion, and education of various social networking products. The primary social networking products I use include Blogger, Twitter, Tumblr, and Facebook.
2. Computers: For computers I am interested in all three of the major types of operating systems including Windows, Mac and Linux. I have minimal experience with Linux and hoping to learn more about this operating system type as the next few years go by. I am able to provide basic tech support for users of Mac's or PC's. For tech support I am able to deal with common hardware and software issues. I am proficient in many different software programs and have the ability to learn computer concepts quickly.
3. Scouting: I am a Assistant Scoutmaster for two different Scout Troops, one being located in Anchorage, Alaska and the other being located in Soldotna, Alaska. For these Scout Unites the Council that I am with is the Great Alaska Council. The Great Alaska Council covers Scouts in the southern half of the state of Alaska. From the local council the next level of organization is the section and I am currently involved with Section W-1N. Section W-1N covers the northern portion of the Pacific Northwest including Alaska and Parts of Oregon, Washington, and Idaho. The third level up from the local council above the section level of organization is that of the region and the region that I am in is the Western Region which covers the Western half of the United States. After the region comes the National Council which is known as the Boy Scouts of America.
4. Search and Rescue/Emergency Services: Currently involved with a search and rescue(SAR) group based in Anchorage, Alaska that covers the South Central Region of Alaska known as Alaska Mountain Rescue Group. Previously I was involved with a SAR group based in Littleton, Colorado known as Arapahoe Rescue Patrol. My SAR specialties that are of interest to me include technical rescue, confined space rescue, high angle rescue, low angle rescue, urban search and rescue and finally wilderness search and rescue. In regards to emergency services I like learning and expanding my emergency medical system skills and knowledge.
5. Autism: As a person on the autism spectrum I need to be informed and understand information about the spectrum and to gain more knowledge as research progresses. I serve as a Advisory Board Member of the Transition Advisory Board of the Stone Soup Group located in Anchorage, Alaska. Finally I am a advocate and supporter of expanding the public's knowledge and awareness of autism spectrum disorders.

1. Subjects I like include biology, ecology, chemistry, mathematics up to calculus, Scouting, search and rescue, emergency medical services, psychology, social work, earth science, general science, computers, technology, and finally anything that has to do with information technology.
2. To help resolve information conflicts.
3. To ensure quality of articles and Wikipedia in General.
4. To add additional pages, new information, and new topics to wikipedia
5. To edit current information and ensure wikipedia formatting styles are followed as prescribed in the Manual of Style.
