Jumbling Towers is a rock band from St. Louis, Missouri. Their music is generally classified as indie rock. They take their name from the British name for the game Jenga. The band is currently unsigned.

History

[edit]

The members of Jumbling Towers first performed together as Dorian Gray while attending high school at Westminster Christian Academy in 2003. This group broke up when the members went off to college in fall of 2003.

Jumbling Towers was formed in fall of 2005 in Columbia, Missouri, and quickly relocated to St. Louis, Missouri. As of 2009 bassist Nate James Drexler relocated to Chattanooga, TN, but he continues to work with the band.

In 2007 the band released its self-titled ten-song debut CD. Shortly after release the CD was re-mixed, re-mastered, and re-released. The CD reached #99 on the CMJ New Music Report charts in September 2007. When the album hit #99, Jumbling Towers was the highest ranked unsigned artist on the CMJ charts.

In June of 2008 the band released an EP titled "Classy Entertainment."

The band has played at several notable music festivals, including The Lot, CMJ Music Marathon, Pygmalion Music Festival, and the OK Electric Festival.
