Wensland is a proposed free and sovereign nation founded in Shoreline Park in Alameda, California, US. Due to its lack of recognition, pages and articles talking about it have been continuously and unfairly deleted without justification. This has led to a lack of citation and source when discussing this topic.

History

The country was founded on September 16th, 2017. September 18th, 2017 saw the establishment of Fort Stagnaro.

Military

The military consists of a Navy and an Army, which operate out of Fort Stagnaro, Wensland. Fort Stagnaro consisted, prior to its November 29, 2017 surrender, of a large bunker and a pneumatic cannon, with an explosive mortar and flag-post mounted in outside sections of the fort. Fort Stagnaro is the highest populated city in the country, with a permanent population of 6.

Government

Wensland's government is a variation of representative democracy, with ten elected senators from different districts of the country. The capital selects a Senator-in-Chief, who's duties are similar to those of the US president.

Quest for Recognition

Since the nation's founding, citizens and government officials have been trying for recognition. Several Wikipedia articles on the subject have been deleted as of October 2017, as have four letters to local American newspapers. Even declaration of independence went ignored and unrecognized. American citizens continue to refuse to respect the sovereignty of the nation and trespass on Fort Stagnaro.
