Waseem Ahmed Shaheen is an Educationist, columnist and a renowned Social Activist, based in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir (India). He was born in village Plera of Tehsil Mandi in Poonch town. He was only twelve years old when his father, who was a police officer, died. He has completed his graduation from Government Degree College Poonch and B.Ed from 'Poonch College of Education', Poonch. He has also done masters in Political science from University Of Jammu, Jammu.

Waseem Ahmed Shaheen has also served as a teacher and school administrator in various public schools and coaching institutes. He served as principal in "All India Institute of Education Development" Loran Mandi in Poonch district. He is an excellent orator. He has been invited as keynote speaker by various Government and Non-Government institutions and agencies on various occasions. At present, he is associated with various international and National social organization.
