Prince Li wu (80 BCE-1 BCE) was a imperial prince,politician,and writer. He was son of Emperor Zhao of Han and consort han. He was born with what is now Down syndrome and was hated by his father.


Early Life:

Prince Li was educated despite his disorder. His father and morther ignoring him a lot put a toll on his health. At age 7 he could hunt and write whole letters and played with orther Princes and children of nobles. When his father passed away he said to have cried on his bed and was given a pony to feel better. He got on well his his half-borther Xuandi and he have Li a better education.


Writing skills:

He was known as a Fine writer as he worte almost everyday and worte of politics and state affairs. He was known to put writing above needs and almost starved on some occasions. He did write about how boring it must be to not write. His writings got the attention of the court and was constantly asked to write for them.


Marriage:

He was given Xiao Wu, a duaghter of a solider as a wife but the couple hated eachorther and she tried to have him murdered in 53 BCE which ended in her execution. He married a 17 year old village girl named Ha and they were very happy together and had 15 children together. She would die after 26 years of marriage and he vowed never to marry agian.


Polictics:

As a prince it was easy for him to enter court. He liked to debate ideals and thoughts. He worte on how annoying the court members were sometimes and they cared for the money they got. He was for homosexuals not getting killed, woman having a equal say and giving to the poor and was very liberal for the time. In 33 BC he retired from politics as it got to annoying for him.


Later life:

He retired to the village his 2nd wife was from and bilut and estate for himself. He would write and send it to court for thr emperor to read. Not much is known what he did at his estate than write.


Death: In 1 BCE he got really ill and was in and out of bed. He would be so sick he would have tourble breathing. Soon a royal docter gave him pills which made him worse and he constantly vomited. After 5 painful weeks he died in his sleep. His wish was to burn or Barry his writings as he dudded them as "history" which was respected. He was in his estate gardens in an unmarked grave.
