I am editing my first Wikipedia article. It is about the Women's Caucus for Art (WCA), a U.S.-based arts and activism organization founded in 1972. WCA has been linked to many well known artists, who have been on the WCA board and/or have been recognized in WCA's Lifetime Achievement Awards (an annual event that recognizes the contributions of women artists). WCA has also been associated with historical events, particularly feminist ones. It, therefore, appears to meet Wikipedia's notability test. I disclose that I am a volunteer with WCA - the Chair of its International Caucus (an internal special interest caucus). I have been chosen to write this article by the organization because I have an interest in research and no one outside of the organization has, as yet, created an article about WCA. I endeavor to edit this article within the Wikipedia guidelines and to maintain objectivity. I appreciate in advance any assistance and guidance in making sure this article is created correctly.
