Emma Anne Gostling
Born in All Saints Hospital, Chatham, Kent in 1987. Attended Barnsole infant and Junior School. She then attended Chatham Grammar School for Girls where she studied for numerous GCSEs and achieved 4 A-levels. She struggled to fit in at school due to her disabilities.
in her early teens she was scouted by Gillingham Ladies FC and later moved to Charlton. In 2003, Gostling transferred to Arsenal ladies playing alongside Kelly Smith.
Unfortunately, her career was ended early due to a bad tackle in a friendly game against Charlton in 2011, where she fractured her Tibia and Fibia and also tore her Achilles.
Gostling studied at Brighton university turning to her scientific knowledge and after working in both Forensics and Microbiology decided to become a Science teacher.
Emma had a near fatal car accident in 2016 and suffered multiple injuries. Her spine is fused.
