U.S. Military Background

He is a retired U.S. Army NCO with prior U.S. Air Force service. He originally enlisted during the Reagan Administration, and served in the first Persian Gulf War, taking a break in service throughout the remainder of the 1990's until re-enlisting into the Army National Guard in 2000.
He transferred to the U.S. Army Retired Reserve in late 2011 after a cumulative total of 21 years of active and ready-reserve service.
At varying points in his career, he has served as a radio operator, infantryman, cavalry scout, airframe repairman and flight engineer.
He has held first-line and key leader positions in several infantry and cavalry organizations, from weapons squad leader, to scout section sergeant, to battalion operations NCO and acting first sergeant.
This user is also a current senior member of the Civil Air Patrol (U.S. Air Force Auxiliary), where he is a current CAP Pilot and Health Services Officer.
