Life

Petty Joy was born and grew up in Graz as the younger of two siblings.

The Graz-born DJ discovered her love for music in early childhood. Her parents recognised and encouraged her talent from an early age. Petty Joy's father was himself a talented guitarist and the electric guitar therefore accompanied the young DJ for many years. As a child she also discovered her great passion for singing and for many years took professional singing lessons.

To develop her creativity she attended an academic secondary school with an arts focus, where she successfully completed her secondary education. Having finished school she fulfilled a long-held dream and moved to Munich, where she trained as a make-up artist and worked for designers and photographers, on fashion shows and for MAC cosmetics.

She also took courses in graphic design and communication design.

Career

Having started out focusing on soul, R&B, hip hop and rock music, it was some time later that she turned her attention to electronic music.

Having worked on several musical projects, it was only at the end of 2011 that she became well-known through her appearances as a DJ. She shot to fame and has gained increasing international attention since the beginning of 2012.

Petty Joy makes appearances all over the world in the hottest party spots and clubs. She is also monthly resident DJ on famous Ibiza Global Radio. She was booked by top designers to appear at New York Fashion Week 2012.

Towards the end of 2012 she toured India's cities and played in the top clubs in Delhi, Mumbai, Goa, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Pune.

Petty Joy is signed to the Planet Punk Music record label. She is produced by the well-known german producer ccK and they work on several new tracks.
Her first single "Allez Allez" came in as top newcomer and soon moved its way up towards the top of all the relevant charts. The single also features in the compilations "we love dance" (Kontor Records) and "Future Trance 61".
