[edit]Apart from her tennis career, Cahill was also a published writer. She was active from the years 1891-1893, when she wrote the novel Her Playthings, Men[1] and articles for The Ladies Home Journal[2] such as Arranging a Tennis Tournament.
Mabel Cahill died on February 6, 1905 in a workhouse in Ormskirk, West Lancashire, England.[3] She was 41 years of age.
In 1976, she was acknowledged as part of the International Tennis Hall of Fame.[4]
