Flo Period Tracker (Flo) is a female health app which provides simple solutions to help women take control of their health, track period or get ready for pregnancy. Flo is developed by US-based company OWHealth and has raised $1M from Flint Capital and Haxus Venture Fund (who has also invested in MSQRD and Prisma apps).[1][2]
Overview
[edit]Flo allows users to keep track of their menstrual cycle through fertility awareness, keep records of their symptoms, basal body temperature and get notification of ovulation, menstruation, contraceptives and other pills. Based on this data users get personalized health insights every day. Flo team has also developed a neural network for the product which detects recurring symptom patterns, analyzes how a woman’s appetite varies throughout the cycle and examines the mood swings and physical changes. According to Flo team that results in a lot more accuracy – up to 50% compared to traditional statistical models.[1][3]
