The Haitian Civil War of 1807–1820 was a 13-year conflict in Haiti that followed the assassination of Jean-Jacques Dessalines, dividing the country between northern forces led by Henri Christophe and southern forces led by Alexandre Pétion, and later Jean-Pierre Boyer.
