I am a resident of South Germany and tend to edit the English translations from German in articles with a historical, archaeological or scientific content.
The Albrecht Berblinger ( I live in his city of Ulm) entry is an example of this where I have corrected the English and restored the original German nouns with an appropriate translation in brackets and identified locations.
I tend not to alter the original contributor's prose unless it is either unreadable, suffers from Gründlichkeit (the German word which means approximately :thoroughness but usually produces a very Baroque English sentence) - is wrong or poorly researched.
