From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Pixel locking, sometimes called peak locking, is a kind of systematic error in sub-pixel measurements[1]. The pixel locking effect tends to assign the sub-pixel measurements to some favored values, such as 0 or 0.5 pixel[1][2]. The pixel locking effect can be reduced by improving software data analysis method[1][2].
