The Erasers
The Erasers are a multimedia group based in Athens, Greece, whose work is based on the integration of various seemingly diverse elements such as: live cinema, improvised music, performance actions, the internet and installation techniques.
These materials, or various forms are incorporated into each of The Erasers performances with the goal of creating an overall experience, a new "open" work, in which the audience can be immersed and yet have the freedom of expression and interpretation. The combination of these diverse elements is based on The Erasers search for a new audio-visual language.
The line up of the group is Mr. Comfort, Voltnoi Brege, Thanos Evgeniou and Kinomatik,
The Erasers were formed in Athens in 2006. They have performed in various spaces and places notably The I.C.A. in London, The Athens Biennial 2007, LABoral Centro de Arte y Creacion Industrial in Gijon, Spain, The Athens Festival, The Closing Ceremony for the 49th Thessaloniki International Film Festival, The Shunt Vaults in London, Mapping Festival in Geneva, Switzerland, Festival de arte digital in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, Hybrides festival in Montpellier, France.
