Subdivisions
[edit]Cascadia is subdivided into more than 300 Indigenious Nations, including one of Alaskan natives, the Chugach Sugpiaq Nation, who speaks Alutiiq. Each Nation has their own government, laws, customs and national language. Other than that, the country is divided into 22 Provinces, based on ecoregional borders, organized such due to the founding principles of bioregionalism, as well as six Provincial Cities (Vancouver, Portland, Seattle, Boise, Juneau and Anchorage), and one Special Territory, the Peace-Liard River Territory. Alternatively, Cascadia is also divided into 7 Historical States (Alaska, Columbia, Oregon, Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln and Idaho), roughly corresponding to the subdivisions drawn before Cascadian independence.
