Assumption is a 2017 short film written and directed by Anthony Leone and stars Cortney Palm and Brian Patrick Butler.[1][2] It officially premiered February 16, 2017 at San Diego Film Week in San Diego, California.[3]
Plot
[edit]A man wakes from a concussion to find himself trapped in a cargo elevator, and as his time in isolation grows, so too does his paranoia.

Release
[edit]The film's official world premiere kicked off during Film Consortium San Diego's inaugural San Diego Film Week on February 16, 2017 at the Museum of Photographic Arts in Balboa Park.[3] The film screened again on March 30, 2017 at San Diego's Screen with Screams Film Festival where it was awarded for 3rd place.[4] Its most recent screening took place on August 10, 2017 at Oceanside International Film Festival.[5] The film will screen again at Horrible Imaginings Film Festival on September 8, 2017. Reviews
[edit]Jamie Berardi of Rue Morgue says the film can be seen as a throwback to classic horror films, such as The Twilight Zone.[7] Catherine Dunn of London Horror Society said the camera angles vary, and make great use of the limited room.[8]
