Listing Mill
A textile mill that makes listing.
Listing is a type of yarn. It was not usually of the best quality.
The yarn is used to make the header and the edges (selvages) when weaving a length of cloth.
The word “listing” is more commonly used in British textile mills than in American textile mills.
The header of a length of cloth and the edges are also referred to as “the listing.”
The listing is commonly cut off when the weaving and further processing is completed on woolen felted fabrics.
