Pee Dee Missionary Baptist Church on South Carolina Highway 38 north of Blenheim, South Carolina is an African-American congregation that has used two buildings in its history. The older building was believed to be the oldest church building in Marlboro County, South Carolina. It was built in 1834 by Great Pee Dee Presbyterian Church. Two other churches formed from this church–Bennettsville Presbyterian Church and Blenheim Presbyterian Church. The building was sold to Pee Dee Union Baptist Church in 1891. Rev. Furman Peterkin, the first pastor, served until 1927. Pee Dee Missionary Baptist Church, as it was later called, restored its building in 1945. A new building called New Pee Dee Missionary Baptist Church was completed next door in 2008. Photos dated 2018 show the original building to be falling down.[1]
