The County Trunk Highway System in Manitowoc County comprises of mostly rural two lane roads as like other county highways in Wisconsin and elsewhere. Parts of the highway network grew off of decommissioned highways like WIS 149, while others were created otherwise. Like most rural roads in Manitowoc County, the speed limits on these roads are generally 55 MPH or 90 KMH.
Highways in Manitowoc County
[edit]County Highway A
[edit]County Highway A runs from Highway XX near Louis Corners to US 151 near Valders. The only other community that Highway A runs through is St. Nazianz, intersecting Highway C in the village.
County Highway XX
[edit]County Highway XX begins at WIS 67 and travels eastward into Cleveland by way of Louis Corners and Meeme. This route consisted of almost all the routing of WIS 149 in Manitowoc County when the state highway was decommissioned in the county by 1987. The segment of Highway XX east of WIS 42 is important because the route serves as a connecter to WIS 42 due to the latter routes importance as the alternate route of I-43.
