UN-Dead
[edit]UN-dead is the upcoming official sequel to Bram Stoker's novel Dracula. It is being written by Great Grandnephew of Bram Stoker Dacre Stoker and Dracula historian Ian Holt.
Development
[edit]On October 3rd it was announced that a Estate-endorsed sequel to Dracula was being written after 111 years since the original novel came out in 1897. The North American rights to the book have been sold and the book is expected to be released in the US in October 2009. It has been revealed that the book is being made using Bram Stoker's unused notes from the original Dracula novel.
Plot
[edit]Very little is known about the plot other than that all the original Characters are returning. What has been revealed is that the story takes place in 1912 and a greater threat is present. Notable locations from the original story will be returning. It is unknown weather or not the book will be presented in diary form like the original or if it will be like a regular book.
Film
[edit]The same day the book was announced a film was also revealed. The film will begin filming in June 2009, 4 months before the book release. No directors or casts have been announced yet other than that Dacre Stoker and Ian Holt are writing the script for the film as well as the book. A few fans think the film will be a direct sequel to the 1992 Bram Stoker's Dracula film. However that has not been confirmed.
