In early July 2021, a cluster of several long-lived hoax articles was discovered.
Common traits of the hoaxes include:
- References to books without page numbers that, when checked, did not contain any mention of the article subject
- Statements sourced to "blastingnews.com" (though this source is used in many unambiguously non-hoax contexts as well)
