Standupcomedyclass.com is a school, based in Los Angeles, that has among it's alumni, Amir Talai (star of "The Ex-List" on CBS), Dr. Reef Karim (regular guest on "Oprah," "Larry King Live," "Chelsea Lately," "Loveline," and "Doctor Phil"), Daniel Leary (headlining comedian and writer for the "Ellen DeGeneres Show"), Erin Cummings (star of Showtime's "Spartacus"), Katrina Law (star of Showtimes "Spartacus"), Jimmy Dubensky (writer of NBC's "Kath and Kim"), Chris Brown (writer of NBC's "Friend's), Monrok (winner of California's Funniest Female contest), PK (winner of The Ice House Superbowl of Comedy), Amanda Ireton (star of "Shot at Love with Tila Tequila"), and Angie Greenup (star of G4's "It's Effin Science")
The class is taught by actor, comedian, and magician Gerry Katzman who has appeared on "Important Things With Demetri Martin" on Comedy Central, "JAG" on CBS, "A.U.S.A." on NBC, "Angel" on The WB, "The Rerun Show" on NBC, "In Justice" on ABC, "Lucky" on FX, and a slew of other TV appearances.
The class is noted for being able to teach the basics of standup comedy in 10 weeks and was given the award for "Best Comedy Class in Los Angeles" by Backstage Magazine and Backstage.com on June 24th, 2010
