Understanding Sudan

[edit]

UnderstandingSudan.org is a collaborative portal being developed to help teachers and researchers portray the variety of Sudanese experiences, showcase not only empirical facts of the country's history, political economy, ecology, societies and cultures, but also its literatures in indigenous and colonial languages, arts and music, and scholarly work.

The site developers are:

Michael Kevane Associate Professor of Economics at the Leavey School of Business Santa Clara University

Martha Saavedra Associate Director of the Center for African Studies University of California, Berkeley.

As part of the site's efforts, we occasionally edit Wikipedia pages.
