Aksaray Ulu Mosque, also known as Karamanoğlu Mosque, is the mosque located in the center of Aksaray.
In the inscription of the mosque, it is written that it was built by Architect Mehmet Firuz Bey by Karamanoğlu Mehmet Bey in 1408-1409.
The mosque, which is supported by solid buttresses on the other side, has an inclined rectangular plan, with the western portal adorned with the typical ornaments of the Anatolian Seljuk Principalities.
It underwent major repairs in 1482-1483 during the reign of Mehmet Bey's son, İbrahim Bey. Its present minaret was built in 1925.
It is a rectangular building close to a square. The entrance is arranged in the form of an iwan, the sanctuary is in the north-south direction, and the front dome of the mihrab is accessed with a Turkish triangle. The north side of the building shows a 2-storey arrangement. The interior has preserved its originality. The tapering of the arches in the interior has a gothic effect. Its altar is plaster material. The dominant material in the building is cut stone.
