User:Tyw7/topicban appeal
List of cases whereby pictures I suggest to WP:FFU (files for upload) was successful, thereby demostrating that I know about non-free images ie fair use images.
- Case 1: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia:Files_for_upload&oldid=429444992#File:ShakeitUp.png (requested transpiracy to be removed). Picture passes NFCC because it adds significant knowledge about the article (logo) --Tyw7 (☎ Contact me! • Contributions) 20:22, 16 May 2011 (UTC)
- Well it was in use at Shake It Up (TV series) :/ Ah well, will work on more clear cut cases ie Norton Screenshots. --Tyw7 (☎ Contact me! • Contributions) 02:06, 17 May 2011 (UTC)
- This image is not being used and you did not add the image to the article in your recent edits [1] so when was it added to the article? There is a different image File:Shake It Up opening title.png in use but the file you caused to be added has not been added to the article. Spartaz Humbug! 02:11, 17 May 2011 (UTC)
- IDK but last I saw it was in use (I think it disappeared in the merge edit fiasco). Hey don't blame me of lying! --Tyw7 (☎ Contact me! • Contributions) 02:12, 17 May 2011 (UTC)
- Please show me the diff of your adding the file to the article. If you changed the image did you tag the old file for deletion? I didn't say you were lying I said you were wrong. Spartaz Humbug! 02:16, 17 May 2011 (UTC)
- I neither added or changed the old pic: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Shake_It_Up_(TV_series)&oldid=429337812 That's the revision I could find using the new pic --Tyw7 (☎ Contact me! • Contributions) 02:20, 17 May 2011 (UTC)
- Does this mean you did not replace the infobox image with the new image you caused to be uploaded? The deleted revision from the cut paste move admin only link shows it had the old image. This is very troubling that you are circumventing your topic ban by using FFU but the result is that unfree images are being left unused. Spartaz Humbug! 02:25, 17 May 2011 (UTC)
- Just to clarify: The image is already there. All I did was removing the white background. I neither placed/remove/uploaded the origional image. --Tyw7 (☎ Contact me! • Contributions) 02:36, 17 May 2011 (UTC)
- If you look at http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Shake_It_Up_(TV_series)&diff=prev&oldid=429337781, User:Dcupdates11 inserted the image. All I did was clearing the white background as it looks ugly in the infobox. --Tyw7 (☎ Contact me! • Contributions) 02:39, 17 May 2011 (UTC)
- The image you caused to be uploaded is not in the article and it doesn't appear that you ever added it to the article and you still have done nothing with it despite the fact that I have been talking to about this for half an hour. Spartaz Humbug! 02:41, 17 May 2011 (UTC)
- Why I didn't add it back? Because I think the origional image looks nicer than the new one so I'm leaving the new one to get deleted. I thought someone decided to change the image and tried to fix the new image. --Tyw7 (☎ Contact me! • Contributions) 02:44, 17 May 2011 (UTC)

Just to clarify: This wasn't my request: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/archive/a/a9/20110516192658%21ShakeitUp.png (origional edit). My request was for the second upload the one with the note (transpiracy). WHat I believe happened was the origional uploader didn't add the FUR necessary (see http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=File:ShakeitUp.png&oldid=429337742). The new FUR (http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=File:ShakeitUp.png&oldid=429424632) only gave it permission for the article Shake it Up (TV Series). When I moved, that FUR became invalid and thus the image was reverted. --Tyw7 (☎ Contact me! • Contributions) 02:43, 17 May 2011 (UTC)
