• I was originally going to write up a detailed account of why there should be a Universism article, but my research has proven to me that Universism really isn't that notable. Meetup.com, which seems to be their primary mode of organization, lists only 1,315 members.[1] Granted, Universist dogma doesn't require communal activity in order to belong, but compare the Atheist group which has 8,026 members. Their LiveJournal community has 12 memebers. Even in Birmingham (where it originated, still its largest group), the Universist Meetup group has 78 registered members, with a regular attendance of 8-12 people monthly (with the exception of the primere of their film: The God Who Wasn't There). Secondly, all of the articles I can find on Universism are all pretty much the same: a description of the newly emerging group. Chalk it up to PRoselytization. So despite Vox's mild success in milking the media, there doesn't seem to be a significant following. I discovered Universism via this page: http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=chinese+religion . According to it 350 million Chinese are adherents, seems pretty big there. I'd say the day has come.
