Hayk Manukyan (born June 30, 1982), also known as Hayk_Animation, is an Armenian-American animator, best known for his work on hand-drawn and 3D animation for film and television.

Career

Manukyan began his career in animation in 2000, working at Cornerstone Animation Inc for two years, where he developed his skills as a hand-drawn animator. He then moved on to roles at One Red and Six Point Harness, where he continued to hone his craft.

In 2007, Manukyan joined Rhythm & Hues as a 3D character animator, where he worked on several notable projects including the Alvin and The Chipmunks movie and the Incredible Hulk starring Edward Norton. He continued to showcase his creativity and skills as an animator, while also honing his ability to work on large-scale productions.

Since 2012, Manukyan has been a Hand Drawn 2D Animator at Warner Bros. Animation, where he has worked exclusively on Teen Titans Go. In addition to his work on the show, he has also animated on Teen Titans Go the movie and animated on an opening segment for the Harley Quinn movie Birds Of Prey.

Manukyan is known for animating the Teen Titans Go dances for the show's intro, as well as hand-drawn animated segments in the episodes. He also animated a Disney-style hand-drawn animated segment in the Teen Titans Go movie, which was a parody of the Lion King Circle of Life intro, featuring DC superheroes instead.

In addition to his professional work, Manukyan has gained a significant following on social media for his personal animation projects, including a popular dancing character named Harut. Harut has gained millions of views on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, showcasing his creativity and skill as an animator.

Education

Manukyan completed an advanced character animation program at Animation Mentor. He also attended ArtCenter College of Design, where he took classes in life drawing, painting, and design through the Saturday High program.

Personal life

Manukyan was born on June 30, 1982, in Yerevan, Armenia. He immigrated to the United States with his family in the early 1990s and currently resides in Los Angeles, California.
