Blanche McVeigh (1895-1970)
Blanche McVeigh was a printmaker and art teacher who helped establish the Fort Worth School of Fine Arts in 1931, where she taught etching and figure drawing. McVeigh and Evaline Sellors founded the Fort Worth Artists Guild, which was the first local institution to exhibit artwork by local artists. McVeigh was born in St. Charles, Missouri in 1895, and moved to Fort Worth, Texas, when she was a child. She returned to Missouri to attend Washington University.
