The Parc du Thabor, located near the city center of Rennes, is a public park spread over ten hectares, containing a French formal garden, an English landscape garden, and a botanical garden. The park's name is derived from Mount Tabor, west of the Sea of Galilee in Israel.
Since the park's origins as a private vegetable and pleasure garden for the monks of the Notre-Dame-en-Saint-Melaine abby, through successive enlargements it has become one of the most emblematic and appreciated spaces in Rennes.
