Vuyo Troy Tyapa, also known by his stage name Troy Raps, is a versatile musician/artist and songwriter who originates from Bloemfontein, in the Free State province. Troy Raps started writing back in 2013. It all started as poems which later transitioned into music as he had been introduced to Hip Hop and got influenced by the likes of Eminem, Kanye West, Drake, and AKA, just to name a few.

He recorded his first ever song in 2017 which was titled Spaced Out and was the first song which got him somewhat of an international breakthrough as it got Plays from Germany, Ghana and Zimbabwe. He later on went to drop his first full project in 2019 which is titled Aspirations EP, and he has been on a steady rise ever since.
