I'm here because everyone benefits from Wikipedia and I know everyone can contribute. I primarily edit in STEM (tending towards merging small and stub class articles into suitable larger siblings) but I also try to make any useful clarifications or minor fixes in whatever articles I read.

Bonus fact: My username was inspired by Los Angeles Dodgers announcer Charley Steiner's (it may have been Rick Monday, who knows) description of a hitter nearly attaining a rare cycle. That game, the hitter had made a single, double, and home run, but had not yet hit a triple (which is the least likely outcome of an at bat which is still positive for the hitter).

Tl;dr - It means "close but no cigar" but for a baseball fan.
