Gypsy Warrior is an American-based and owned clothing corporation headquartered in Fair Lawn, New Jersey. It operates in a full-service retail location in Ridgewood, New Jersey. [1] The company was founded by two best friends Michel Bezoza and Nicla DiCosmo in 2010. Its collection offers women’s fashion that is unique and accessible, pulling inspiration from a mix of high fashion and rock and roll, with the vintage bohemian look of the 60s and 70s. [2]
The company has additionally collaborated with brands such as Pacsun and affiliated with both local and luxury designers including: Motel Rocks, For Love and Lemons, Dolce Vita, Killstar and See You Monday.[3][4]
History
[edit]In 2010, Gypsy Warrior launched its first online catalog, showcasing collections of clothing that personified Nicla's free-spirited, bohemian lifestyle and Michel’s punk rock, tattoo culture influences, as well as the latest trends from around the world. DiCosmo and Bezoza handled everything from buying and photographing merchandise, shipping and handling and product descriptions. As the company began to take off, the two decided it was time to open a retail store.[5]
In 2011, DiCosmo and Bezoza opened their first brick and mortar store in Ridgewood, NJ, which has since been relocated to a larger space at 125 East Ridgewood Ave., Ridgewood, NJ. The retail store and online catalog grew in both consumer popularity and mass demographics, which lead Bezoza and DiCosmo to open the Gypsy Warrior headquarters in Fair Lawn, NJ.
By 2014, Gypsy Warrior's growth increased in both consumers and production. DiCosmo and Bezoza opened their second full-service retail location, a pop-up shop in Hoboken, NJ. [6]
Customers
[edit]The Gypsy Warrior girl is sweet with just the right amount of edge. A girl who loves adventure, creates her own trends, believes in magical moments and never ending fun.[7][8]
