Jacob Alexander Love for God and a passion towards music is what motivates Jacob Alexander to produce music that reaches out to youth in Tamil Nadu today. Although Jacob was born into a strong Christian family and had lived a good Christian life up until his school days, once college years came around, he got into all the temptations of the world. He thought they were cool, and he was addicted to so many things, thinking that was what his life was about. But eventually, even many of those he considered his best friends betrayed him. One day Jacob came up with the idea of making a rock album that would inspire people into drugs and make people think that being depressed is something great. But while Jacob was busy composing the album, God spoke to him saying, "You have forgotten me from the time you began your second year of college… I know you’ll come back to me... and I am waiting for you." Jacob was totally confused and sat alone wondering about the relationship he had had with God during his school days. That was when he made a commitment to sing for God and make music for God. “God helped me come out of all the addictions and is still teaching me new things everyday, so that I can be a better witness of His love.” Jacob worked with Josiah Heflin, Armageddon and Chrispugg Praveen on his first Tamil album “Piriyatha Nanban" (The Friend who Never Leaves) which was released by Music Mindss during his final year of college. Since then, Jacob has been performing in concerts all around Tamil Nadu. His music does not stick to a particular genre. Jacob loves doing different styles and finds it more important to compose good tunes that would make his songs appealing. He also enjoys writing lyrics that talk about reality. “It is God who inspires me to write lyrics in different situations. I believe that I need to do my best for Him and I can do that only with His help.” Jacob Alexander’s album that is soon to be released is called "Kalloori Valkaiyilae" (During College Life). It consists of 8 songs, each in a different style of music, and the theme is based on relationships during college life.
