- Comment: Very much lacks significant coverage in WP:RS. It may have coverage in other languages, but this has not been demonstrated. It is already mentioned in List of Touhou Project fan games, which should be sufficient. ᴢxᴄᴠʙɴᴍ (ᴛ) 10:06, 6 December 2024 (UTC)
- Comment: This is just not quite there sadly - there are some review sources but Siliconera seems to be the only reliable review source that has taken a look at the game and covered it in detail. Check out WP:VG/S and the WP:VG/SE to see if there's anything out there that might fit the bill for reliable coverage. Appreciate this is a bit of a tricky task for a fangame but that's the rub with notability unfortunately. VRXCES (talk) 10:22, 22 November 2024 (UTC)

Touhou Mystia's Izakaya is a restaurant simulation Touhou Project fangame developed and published by Dichroic Purpilion for Windows. It was first made available through Steam in October 2021.
Mystia's Izakaya ports for the Nintendo Switch were announced in December 2023,[1] and was released on May 2, 2024.[2]
Gameplay
[edit]Touhou Mystia's Izakaya is a restaurant simulation game, where the player must gather ingredients across Gensokyo during the day, and must prepare for shop at night. The player plays as Mystia Lorelei.[3]
Every character that appears in the Izakaya will have their own food preference, and Mystia will need to remember what each guest will preference.[4] Special guests that appear in the Izakaya will not order off of the usual menu, and will instead prefer dishes that cater to their character, such as alcohol.[5] Depending on how well Mystia does on their order, she will be rewarded with a spell card, which will provide a buff or a debuff.[6]
Mystia can buy ingredients from different vendors, rather than finding them. Touhou Mystia's Izakaya also features a bonding system, where Mystia can bond with certain NPCs and be rewarded with ingredients, or unlocking new recipes and thus expanding the Izakaya's menu.[7]
Mystia can also put up decorations, and put on background music to help her Izakaya.[8]
Plot
[edit]After a customer destroyed Mystia's restaurant in search of food, a were-hakutaku offers to help Mystia but must restart everything from scratch. Mystia accepts the offer.
After accepting the offer, Mystia steps outside and sees her friend Kyouko getting in trouble with Chen, a debt collector for Yakumo Family Bank. In order to help her friend out, Mystia takes on Kyouko's debt of 3000 yen.[9]
Characters
[edit]- Mystia Lorelei — Night sparrow Youkai. Owner of her own Izakaya.
- Kyouko Kasodani — Mystia's friend and employee, who helps out at the Izakaya.
Reception
[edit]Siliconera gave the Switch version an 8/10, praising how the games pixel art looked on the screen of the Switch OLED model, along with how well the game controlled.[3] Movies Games and Tech gave the game a 7/10, lamenting the basic cooking system, and the occasional translation errors.[5]
On Steam, 98% of the player reviews were positive.[10]
