The National History Museum is a digital museum located in Greater Iqbal Park in Lahore, Pakistan. A project of the Parks and Horticulture Authority Lahore (Government of Punjab), it was opened for public on 1 July 2018.[1] Citizens Archives Pakistan, a not-for-profit organization, was selected to curate the project.[2] The museum was inaugurated on 14 April 2018 by the Chief Minister of Punjab, Shehbaz Sharif.[3] It is the first digital museum of Pakistan.[1]
The museum consists of five sections, covering the Pakistan Movement, and the cinema, music, and sport in Pakistan.[4]
Construction
[edit]The project was built in a period of 14 months at a cost of Rs. 300 million.[5]
