DreDay & Gucci Ruci are an underground hip hop duo from Detroit, Michigan. The group consists of rappers DreDay and Gucci Ruci.
History
[edit]Endri "DreDay" Nazarko (b. 1996) and Enea "Gucci Ruci" Ruci (b. 1995) are friends and cousins who both share an interest and influence in hip hop music. They cite Wiz Khalifa, Big Sean, Curren$y, and Mac Miller among their influences. In February 2011 they began publishing their music onto YouTube as well as putting download links. Their first single and music video is "Kool Aid & Frozen Yogurt"[1] which is a remix of "Kool Aid & Frozen Pizza" by Mac Miller.
In 2011 DreDay & Gucci Ruci released their debut mixtape The Swag Diaries Vol. 1: Swagtastic!.[2] Their second single off of The Swag Diaries Vol. 1: Swagtastic! was called "Red & White"[3] which is a remix of "Black and Yellow" by Wiz Khalifa.
Danny Nasuti, the executive producer of DreDay & Gucci Ruci announced that there will be a sequel to The Swag Diaries Vol. 1: Swagtastic!. An exact titled was not given, but details have, such as volume 2 may be a full length studio album. This however was not the case.
On February 4, 2012 the group released their second music video for their song "My Time".[4] The song was released along with a few others that were on DreDay & Gucci Ruci's second mixtape, The Swag Diaries Vol. 2. They also began rapping with B-Wern.
After the release of The Swag Diaries Vol. 2 they released their third music video "Trippy Cups".
