About

While adding missing descriptions to various biota in Wikidata, I came across these 683 ~~duplication errors~~ naming conflicts. Wikidata does not allow 2 QIDs to possess identical labels AND descriptions, so these have to either get merged OR relabeled in some combination (either QID_1, or QID_2, or both) OR more complicated solution, then have the appropriate descriptions applied. I don't have the time/patience/knowledge to fix all of these accurately nor quickly, so I'm leaving it here for more capable editors to fix.

<Desired description for QID_1> were automatically taken and adapted from the nearest available parent taxon description (not shown), so not all desired descriptions may be suitable for their child item (and in rare cases they are completely wrong). Shorter, more general (but not too general) descriptions are preferred.

@Tom.Reding: many of these are not diplicates, but illustrations of the language-specific nature of Wikidata, and fact that Wikidata has never sorted out how to handle taxonomic synonyms nor model taxa correctly. Thus if you look at your "specific example", they are only "duplicates" in English. In German, it's clear that Murexiella taylorae (Q3168635) is merely misnamed in English (and French). In German, it's clearly about a different taxon name, Murexiella taylorae. What appears to be the page title in Wikidata depends on the language you view it in.
