[edit]I'm a college student who is working towards getting a degree in literature. I enjoy reading, fantasy fiction[1], comics, and poetry. I write comics when I have the time and like creating deep history and lore for the worlds I write. I cook a lot. I grow a lot of fruits, vegetables, and herbs in my garden. I have two dogs that I enjoy playing with and spending time with. I ride my bike around the neighborhood I live in. When I have the time I like going on hikes in the Puget Sound area.

[edit]If I do write/edit for Wikipedia in the future, I'd edit Pages about hiking trails in the Puget Sound area, or pages about common writing tropes.
Article Evaluation
[edit]Cavetown is one of my favorite musicians, his music was recommended to me when I was 14, and I’ve listened to most of their songs. I visited the Cavetown article on Wikipedia, and found three aspects of it worth commenting on: it’s many good citations, it’s neutral language, and a lack of a link to a New York Times[2] article about him.
Citations
[edit]There are many citations for this article, even though it’s not a long article, it's well researched. The citations consist of links to his music, interviews, biographies, and articles about him. I clicked through a lot of them, the ones that aren’t just his songs are pretty good sources.
Neutral Language
[edit]Many articles I’ve read that are not meant to be opinion articles have language that pushes the author's opinion onto the reader. This article uses neutral language that only talks about facts and not the personal opinions of the author. The article speaks about Cavetown without bias, they say the songs he's written and performed, the events he’s taken part in, and basic information about his past.
New York Times Article
[edit]While the article has a lot of good information, but I think it should also include more about Cavetown’s relation and support to the Queer community. Since Cavetown is part of the Queer community, a lot of his fans are, and he’s done events for the community. I think that this New York Times article[3] has information that would better the Wikipedia article.
Conclusion
[edit]Overall, I think this is a pretty good article. The citations it uses helps set up a good background for who Cavetown is and what kinds of music they do. The language used is neutral and unbiased, it speaks about Cavetown without giving the author's opinion. But I feel that it would be better if it also had information about Cavetown and the Queer community.
