User:ToThAc/U.S. Route 460 in Kentucky
- Comment: Otr500 brought U.S. Route 460 in Kentucky to my attention. As this topic already exists, it is not a "promising draft" just an an old alternative version of an existing topic. Removing the promising draft tag. Legacypac (talk) 15:30, 10 January 2019 (UTC)
- Comment: I have driven this road more than once and it is an important route so I also think it should become an article. I will take a look at this when I get the chance to find sourcing to allow expanding, along with correcting a few omissions like highway 80 merging with it in Watergap, Kentucky, for moving to article space. Otr500 (talk) 00:50, 9 January 2019 (UTC)
- Comment: How are such pages normally sourced? I want to get this out of "Promising Draft" category and into mainspace Legacypac (talk) 11:17, 12 December 2018 (UTC)
- @Legacypac: I'd say a lot of these sources come from the history section, which I'm short on right now. ToThAc (talk) 18:07, 19 December 2018 (UTC)

U.S. Route 460 (US 460) is the portion of a west-east highway that starts at I-64 in Frankfort and ends at the Virginia state line near Mouthcard.
Route description
[edit]US 460 begins at an intersection with US 60 a few miles east of downtown Frankfort. It is a winding two-lane highway with no shoulders and intersects US 62 and I-75 at Georgetown. It proceeds to Paris, where it serves as the town's "Main Street" and intersects US 27 and US 68. The next major intersection is with I-64 in Mount Sterling. It proceeds through Frenchburg and West Liberty. In Salyersville, the Mountain Parkway ends by merging onto it. It is a 3-lane highway for 14 miles and then it merges with US 23 in Paintsville. US 460 then follows US 23 and US 119 through Prestonsburg and Pikeville. The route then enters the southwestern part of Virginia.
