Since 1975 Jerry Floyd has written hundreds of reviews and feature articles for The Sondheim Review, Opera magazine, Opera News, The San Francisco Opera Magazine, Wagneropera.net, The Baltimore Sun, The Washington Star and numerous other print and online publications.

He has attended opera, ballet, theatre and popular music performances in many cities, including Bayreuth, Salzburg, Munich, Zurich, London, Paris, New York, Chicago, Washington, D.C, Philadelphia, Princeton, Baltimore, Boston, Toronto, Cleveland, Minneapolis, Seattle, San Franciso, Los Angeles, and various cities in Florida.

He has also reviewed recordings and DVDs for U.S. Amazon.com and appeared on WGMS Radio in Washington in the late 1970s-early 1980s.

From 1987 to 2006, Jerry was a writer and editor at the World Bank in Washington, D.C., focusing on information management. Since his 2006 retirement Jerry has contintued working at the World Bank as a consultant.
