Hello, my name is Ryan. I am 21 and live in Minnesota, USA. I absolutely love Wiki. I spend hours daily researching basically anything and everything I havent yet learned. I believe quality of life is based on Knowledge, and knowledge is for the most part free, befitting the Quote;
"That man is the richest whose pleasures are the cheapest." Henry David Thoreau.
I believe there are NO bad people, only people with bad habits. After all is every baby and child not capable of producing and giving unconditional love?
I have access to an incredible mass of info on the Web... all for free, so I'm content everyday of my life knowing I can learn infinitely (without restriction) and apply this knowledge to help others. Whenever I teach, I stress independent research. I find pleasure in helping others. The more I know the more I can help.
I like to understand everything but there are things I will never understand, Like the difference of pay between our youths future, "Teachers" and our entertainers. Where are our priorities? How much did my favorite teacher make through High School, then how much did David Beckham in the past 4 years? I think the salaries should be swapped. Then again, if knowledge was so important to everyone would our society work? The old Democracy vs. Communism issue. Is there such a thing as perfect?
Here are some of my favorite quotes,
Alexander Pope: Do good by stealth, and blush to find it fame.
Confucius: He who wishes to secure the good of others, has already secured his own.
Edmund Burke: All that is necessary for evil to succeed is that good men do nothing.
Elbert Hubbard: Religions are many and diverse, but reason and goodness are one.
Ralph Waldo Emerson: Do not waste yourself in rejection, nor bark against the bad, but chant the beauty of the good.
Bill Cosby: A word to the wise ain't necessary, it's the stupid ones who need the advice.
Ralph Waldo Emerson: Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could; some blunders and absurdities have crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; you shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense.
Thanks for Listening and all the best to you!
