Post War Years are an indie/electronica/pop act from Leamington Spa, now based in London.
They consist of Simon Critten, Henry Riggs, Tom O'Hare and Fred McLaren. The band released their debut album The Great and The Happenings on their own record label Wealth in 2009. The band toured extensively in 2008 and 2009 including supporting White Lies.
The Greats and The Happenings
[edit]The bands debut album was released in 2008. From this album, the songs "Whole World On Its Head", "Soul Owl" and "White Lies" were lifted as singles. The album received very positive reviews, with NME giving the album 7/10. [1] [1]

The single "Whole World On Its Head" received airplay on BBC 6Music and BBC Radio 1 by Huw Stephens and Rob Da Bank. [2] [2]
2nd Album
[edit]The band are due to start work on their 2nd album in May 2010 at Moles Studio in Bath. The album will be produced by James Rutledge and is expected to be released later in the year.
Maida Vale- BBC Introducing
[edit]Post War Years took part in a BBC Introducing session at Maida Vale Studios on April 29th 2010. They played a 5 song set including new single "White Lies" to be released on June 14th 2010.[3] [3]
