- Your role
- What exactly do you do (most specific user group)?
I'm a template editor, meaning I can edit protected templates like {{infobox}}. Most of my editing is to normal articles, though.
- How long have you been an editor/admin/user of Wikipedia?
I've had an account since 2014, made my first significant contributions in 2017, and got back into editing actively in 2020.
- How active are you in that capacity?
I'm pretty active, I tend to spend at least an hour on the site daily.
- Do you consider this your primary occupation or only a hobby?
It's just a hobby, but one I put a lot of time into.
- Your thoughts
- What do you think of Wikipedia as a project?
Generally, I like it. I was an avid reader long before I became an editor, and enjoy reading pages on various things.
- What do you see in the future for the site?
I think and hope that the site's coverage will grow and become more comprehensive. I think the site will stick around for a while.
- How might the subjects covered by Wikipedia be expanded?
Depends on what you mean. The subjects are expanded daily by people writing new articles. However, what is acceptable is limited to what is documented in reliable sources - so more reliable coverage of niche topics would be useful for expansion.
- Your experience
- What have you seen, do you have any stories?
Nothing that really stands out - some of my favorite editing has been on "current event" topics like 2021 storming of the United States Capitol - it's exciting!
- How big a problem is vandalism?
Flashy, in your face vandalism, isn't that big of a deal, it's quickly reverted. Sneaky vandalism is much worse.
- How easily is vandalism dealt with?
Generally pretty easy, users and especially admins have good tools to deal with it.
