Baby N' The Fire is an indie cover band from North Carolina, United States.
The band consists of 6 members including Gabrien B who along with backing vocals is considered "The Baby", and Valerie L who has the MetroThee solo project.[1]
The bands naming is purposefully ambiguous, though starting as Baby and the Fire, the 'and' would be changed with an 'N'. This made the band name both Baby and the Fire as well as Baby In The Fire.
The bands iconography varies with a similar theme of the acronym BNTF and a fire colour-scheme, there may also be a depiction of a baby either in or near the fire. The text being written in both print and a font similar to the logos of Slam Metal and Grindcore bands.
The band also known for their rivalry with fellow local band, The Tisms and their spin-off band Violent Pilots. Along with their go-to cover songs which include 505 by Arctic Monkeys, Marlboro Nights by Lonely God, and Sailor Song by Gigi Perez among others.[2]
History
[edit]Baby N' The Fire was created when Caleb G, Finn C, Joe D, and their friend Aden S, during a history class project discussion. They made a plan to meet at Lowes Foods, where they bought Nutella before going to Joe D’s house to discuss a future band. Joe D’s third floor became the temporary studio for the band as at this time it housed his electric drums.

[edit]Each member has their own musical influences with some commonality in New Wave, Grunge, Punk, Emo, and Indie bands. Major influences for one or more of the members include: The Smiths, Franz Ferdinand, The Front Bottoms, Arctic Monkeys, Alex G, All Time Low, Sublime, Car Seat Headrest, The Wonder Years, blink-182, Against Me!, Mom Jeans., American Football, Blondie, Green Day, I DONT KNOW HOW BUT THEY FOUND ME, late night drive home, Clairo, Dead Kennedys, Weezer, and Good Kid among others.
